Every Putter Plants a Tree
The most outstanding aspect of our Putters is the wood itself. We love wood. There, I said it.
Amazed by its variety; texture, colour, grain and even it’s smell. The putters are a celebration of wood and as golfers who get to enjoy the challenge and beauty of playing among them, we want to do our part to look after their place on our planet.
Our woods come from all over the world, from the Europe, The Americas, Africa, Central and East Asia, we rely on exotic species for beautiful and diverse putter designs. These woods come from communities that are incentivised to fell trees for materials and farming land and we all know the great cost this has on our planet’s future, for us and the creatures we share it with. It’s not lost on us our craft is one of those incentives.
We want to make sure our putters have a positive net effect to the worlds tree numbers, not a negative one.
Isla Putters now support the efforts of worldwide reforestation organisation One Tree Planted, by making a donation for each putter we create. They plant trees in over 41 countries and are on target to have planted 21 million trees in 2021 alone.
This global effort creates local community jobs, restores forests, conserves the environment, and promotes earths vital biodiversity.
